Problems on Typhoon-Affected Areas

10 towns in Cagayan and nearby areas in Kalinga and Apayao might be affected by weak or zero wireless network signals, as Public Storm Signal number 3 (100-185 kilometers per hour winds) was raised in Cagayan, Kalinga, Apayao, Abra, Ilocos Norte and the Babuyan and Batanes Islands.

Meanwhile, Tropical storm "Lando" (international codename: Hagibis) weakened as it moved closer to northwest Palawan and Mindoro Island on Monday afternoon after reentering the country’s area of responsibility, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

Troubleshooting SMS Problem with LoadnTxt

  • Make sure that your cellphone is fully conditioned, that is, partly/fully charged and with enough signal
  • Try to turn off your cellphone, then turn it on again
  • Try to re-insert your battery. Just be sure you turn it off first
  • Make sure that your SIM card is not damaged
  • Try to send a text message to your own cellphone. If it fails, contact your carrier
  • If you port your number to another carrier, confirm if there won’t be any issues during the transition
  • If your cellphone is AT&T, make sure that your message does not exceed 150 characters
  • Make sure you have a monthly text messaging plan so as not to exceed your SMS budget

Number Portability when Switching Carriers

If switching wireless carrier crosses your mind and if you plan to retain your cellnumber, you can do so by simply informing the Customer Service of your current  and new carrier. This wireless feature called number portability also applies with VoIP as it has been approved by the FCC already.

However, if you changed your cellnumber regardless whether you switch carrier or not, you need to update your record with LoadnTxt by doing one of the following:

  1. Log on to http://www.loadntxt.com and click the ‘My Account’ link. Then click the ‘Change Cellnumber’ link.
  2. Contact us through email or by phone.
  3. Text ASQ your old and new cellnumber. Then send to LoadnTxt number

Reload Credits Using your Cellphone

For our LoadnTxt subscribers with a PayPal account, here is an easier way to reload credits without going to the internet. Just use your cellphone and you’re good to go. Just follow these steps:

Call: 1-800-4PAYPAL (From your keypad, that is 1-800-4729725)

When prompted for the amount, say the amount you want to reload (10, 20 and 50 only) .

When prompted for the phone number where the payment will be received, say 3233194234.

If you notice, 3233194234 is our Sales and Support number. You can reload $10, $20 or $50 only. No more, no less. Once PayPal Mobile successfully processed the transaction, you will receive an automated text message confirmation from us that your reload was successful.
